Principal Dykzeul (pronounced DIKE-zul), or Dr. D as he introduces himself, has been a steady and supportive presence since joining our community this school year. You may have read his Sunday newsletter or noticed him greeting families at morning drop-off. He’s joined us for events like the Ice Cream Social and our first PTA meeting. And he’s brought back Coffee with the Principal, a chance to come chat with him in person.
Today is the last day of our September Giving Campaign. We’ve raised over $30,000, will you help us get closer to our $70,000 goal? Giving takes just a few minutes, and your gift pays for popular programs like field trips, PE Coach Jody, literacy tutoring and the Harding Carnival.

The PTA provides support and enrichment programs for Harding students throughout their time here, from TK all the way to 6th Grade. This week we’re spotlighting three important programs your donations make possible, and sharing what our teachers had to say about them.
This weekend is the Harding Campout at Camp Herms. Stay the night or just come hang for the evening! The Dine-out fundraiser at Tigon is today. Dine-in or Takeout. Mention “HARDING” when ordering. We’re half way through our September Giving Campaign. Will you help us reach our goal?
Volunteers show up for our Harding community in a hundred small ways. We keep the Staff Lounge stocked with coffee for our teachers and staff, we tend the school garden, we help in the library, we run the Carnival every October, and more. That’s all of us taking small tasks and making the whole greater. Will you join us this year? You don’t need experience, just an hour here or there.
My name is Erin, and this year I’m serving as the PTA Communications Chair. I’m also a Harding parent.
Over the past six years, I’ve come to appreciate what makes Harding so special. It’s all of us: parents, guardians, teachers, and staff. We’re a community made better by each member showing up in ways big and small.
Happy new school year, Harding Community! We’re two weeks in now, and it’s been a great start, kicked off by a wonderful turnout at our annual Ice Cream Social.
