It looks like January is a very busy month:
- Monday the 9th, Korematsu Information Panel for 5th/6th grade students and their families
- Throughout the month, teachers and students will be collaborating around a school wide Kindness Project
- Thursday the 12th, the TK/Kindergarten 2023-2024 Registration Information Session will be held in the auditorium
- Monday the 16th is a holiday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Check out these links to see how you can participate in the City of El Cerrito MLK parade and campaign to stop hate.
- Thursday the 19th at 6:30pm ELPAC and AASAT MeetUps will be hosted before the…
- TK-2nd Grade Literacy Night at 7:00pm on the 19th
- Wednesday the 25th at El Cerrito High the 3rd-6th graders will perform Alice in Wonderland with Ms. Seele’s direction
- Saturday the 28th, the Safety Committee is having a work party to inventory and update emergency supplies throughout the school

Can we look forward to a Harding Carnival next Fall? Yes! Members of our Harding Community have already begun the planning process and folks have volunteered to head up key roles for the return of the Harding Carnival this October. But we’re still looking to fill a few key roles: project manager and entertainment liaison. If you’re interested in these roles or getting involved in any capacity, please reach out to president@hardingpta.org. Want to learn more? Check out this deck. Stay tuned for an announcement about the next in-person planning social later this month.
Korematsu Middle School Info Session
What is the difference between elementary and middle school? What electives are offered at Korematsu Middle School and what is the typical schedule?
If you have similar questions, please join us on Monday, January 9, 7-8pm in the Harding Auditorium for this info session to hear from a panel including Korematsu Principal, Matt Burnham and former Harding students and parents who will give an overview of the school, share their experiences, and answer questions from the audience.
We highly encourage our 5th and 6th grade students and families to attend.

Important Pick Up and Drop Off Reminder
A friendly Harding Elementary neighbor alerted us that their driveway on Fairmount Ave. is often blocked by cars during pick up and drop off making it difficult for them to access their home. Please be respectful of our neighbors and be mindful of where you park. Do not block driveways or park in areas marked in red on both Ashbury Ave. and Fairmount Ave. This has been a particular issue on Fairmount Ave. Thank you for helping us keep good relations with our neighbors.
