Come support Harding Elementary and a local business by indulging in a discounted special tasting menu, designed for a family of 4 from Noodles Fresh.
Pre-orders are required and due by the end of the day Saturday, May 4th.
(Free) Outdoor Movie Night and International Potluck: Saturday, May 11th
Join the Harding community for our annual outdoor movie night and international potluck on Saturday, May 4th. Starting at 6PM, Harding’s Baseball Field will be open for families to come and share their favorite dish with our community. Families are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket, reusable plates, and cutlery. BYO drinks.
Once the sun sets (around 8PM), we will commence our annual movie night on a giant outdoor screen (movie= Wonka). Can’t make the potluck? Feel free to come to join us for this fun event. Bring blankets, flashlights, and a warm jacket.

Korematsu Middle School Information Session: Thursday, May 16th
What is the difference between elementary and middle school? What electives are offered and what is the typical schedule? If you have similar questions, please join us at this info session to hear from a panel of former Harding students and parents who will give an overview of the school, share their experiences, and answer questions from the audience.
We encourage our 5th and 6th grade students and families to attend.

Volunteer Opportunities
Harding Field Day: May 30th & 31st, 12:30 – 2pm
We are having our annual Field Day on May 30th and 31st from 12:30-2pm. There will be tons of activities, sports, games, music, dance and arts and crafts!
Parents: If you would like to volunteer, please sign up on ParentSquare. You must have a volunteer badge and present to the office to be able to participate.
Ongoing Needs
Harding is lucky to have an active parent community – everyone’s help is welcome and appreciated! Here are ways you can volunteer:
- AT LUNCH/RECESS: Sign Up HERE for for play yard and lunch recess volunteering for 2023/24. We’re asking families to sign up for 4 days/year. More info.
- IN THE GARDEN: Drop in (on the yard) Mondays 9:30 – 10:45 to help the garden coordinators with kids in the garden. Sign up here to help with Garden projects. Run a second day/week with kids in the garden (email the garden coordinators)
- IN THE CLASSROOM: Assist individual students or small groups with reading, math, or science activities – contact your student’s teacher
- FUNDRAISING: Assist with flamingo flocking, the Spring auction, the walk/roll-a-thon or read-a-thon etc.! (email the fundraising chair)
- OTHER SKILLS: Whatever else you have to offer!
Contact the Volunteer Coordinator with questions or to work on your own volunteer ideas!
Remember to get your volunteer badge either at the district office or during an upcoming Fingerprinting Party.

All Are Welcome, No Specific Skills Required.
The PTA will meet on the 1st Tuesday of September, October, December, February, April and May, unless alternative information is provided.
Community input and involvement are crucial to how the PTA works and the programs that we fund and provide to all students. Attending meetings and connecting to PTA communications on Slack, the weekly Enewsletter, and Hardingpta.org will ensure that you are in the loop and your voice is heard!

- EN EL JARDÍN: Pase (en el patio) los lunes de 9:30 a 10:45 (martes de la semana del Día del Trabajo) para ayudar a los coordinadores del jardín con los niños en el jardín. 日没後（およそ午後8時）、巨大な野外スクリーンでの毎年恒例の映画上映が始まります（Wonka）。ポットラックに参加できない場合でも、この楽しいイベントにぜひ参加してください。ブランケット、懐中電灯、暖かいジャケットを持参してください。
