It’s Read-a-Thon Time: March 18 – 22!
Hello Harding Community—It’s time for Read-A-Thon fundraiser!
Students will be working to read 50 minutes or more each day at school and home.
Register your student and collect pledges for the Read-A-Thon at pledgestar.com/Harding, where it is quick and easy to send donation request emails to family and friends!

Students entering 7th grade at Korematsu are invited to a 2025 Summer Trip to Europe! This year, we have 63 student travelers going on a 2024 Summer Trip to Japan from Korematsu, and next year, we’ll be heading to Europe during the summer.

The art projects have been selected, we just need at least one parent volunteer for each classroom to lead the project with those students and teacher.

Volunteer Opportunities
Ongoing Needs
Harding is lucky to have an active parent community – everyone’s help is welcome and appreciated! Here are ways you can volunteer:
- AT LUNCH/RECESS: Sign Up HERE for for play yard and lunch recess volunteering for 2023/24. We’re asking families to sign up for 4 days/year. More info.
- IN THE GARDEN: Drop in (on the yard) Mondays 9:30 – 10:45 to help the garden coordinators with kids in the garden. Sign up here to help with Garden projects. Run a second day/week with kids in the garden (email the garden coordinators)
- IN THE CLASSROOM: Assist individual students or small groups with reading, math, or science activities – contact your student’s teacher
- FUNDRAISING: Assist with flamingo flocking, the Spring auction, the walk/roll-a-thon or read-a-thon etc.! (email the fundraising chair)
- OTHER SKILLS: Whatever else you have to offer!
Contact the Volunteer Coordinator with questions or to work on your own volunteer ideas!
Remember to get your volunteer badge either at the district office or during an upcoming Fingerprinting Party.

Volunteer Opportunities Are Always Available & We Are a Fun Group to Hangout With.
All Are Welcome, No Specific Skills Required.
The PTA will meet on the 1st Tuesday of September, October, December, February, April and May, unless alternative information is provided.
Community input and involvement are crucial to how the PTA works and the programs that we fund and provide to all students. Attending meetings and connecting to PTA communications on Slack, the weekly Enewsletter, and Hardingpta.org will ensure that you are in the loop and your voice is heard!
