The Harding library is only staffed one day a week, so we rely on volunteers to keep the library running. Whether it is checking books out to students, shelving, or getting new books labeled – we need your help! Most classes also need a volunteer when they visit the library (Mon-Thurs).
If you are interested, please discuss with your child’s teacher. If the teacher would like you to help, please contact Lauren Gibson (HardingLibrary@gmail.com) so that we can keep track of volunteers and arrange training if needed. Thank you for supporting our library and reading!
We invite all Harding adult family members to join staff and teachers for our annual Back to School Night on Tuesday, September 3rd and Thursday, September 5.

Please note, this evening will be for adults only, and childcare will not be available at Harding.
One of the main strengths and gifts of living in the Bay Area and belonging to the Harding community is our multi-cultural heritage, and sharing our food is a gateway to learning about others cultures and people. It is also an important model for our children to experience and witness the celebration of our differences and normalizes differences as our shared humanity.
Please join us to celebrate our first and very own Multicultural International Potluck! Sign-up here to bring a dish and/or other supplies (picnic blanket, cutlery, plates).
When: Saturday, September 7th, 11 am – 2 pm

And a very warm welcome to our new faculty and staff for the upcoming 2019-20 school year.

Stay on top of your school schedule by plugging into the Harding calendar!
The Harding PTA maintains a calendar you can access three different ways: 1) a monthly print calendar that comes home in your student’s Wednesday folder (look for this in the coming weeks).
2) a Google calendar you can view on our calendar page.
3) A subscription to the Google calendar you can add to your mobile device so you get reminders and updates in real time. Instructions on how to subscribe can be found here , beneath the calendar.
Registration for the first Harding After School Enrichment Program session (9/9 – 12/13) starts this week! The HASEP class calendar will come home in this week’s Wednesday folders. The auction & raffle raised just over $9,000! Thank you to all the teachers, students, volunteers who helped create the classroom projects, volunteers who worked the Open House events, and our generous donors for such a successful evening. If you would like to see the auction take place in 2020, please consider volunteering as the coordinator. Contact email@example.com for details.
