GATE Program

The Harding InvestiGATE Program is an after school enrichment program for 4th, 5th & 6th grade Gifted & Talented Education students.

InvestiGATE is divided into three sessions:

  • Science
  • Math
  • Arts & Humanities

InvestiGATE students at Harding Elementary School learn challenging science, math and arts/humanities topics through hands-on experiments/activities taught by volunteer parents during six 1-hour after school classes per session.

Each session culminates with the InvestiGATE students giving back to the community by hosting free “Science/Engineering Night,” “Math Night,” and “Arts and Humanities Night” events for all Harding Elementary School students, siblings, parents/guardians, teachers, staff, administration, and community members to attend, participate, learn, and enjoy. The InvestiGATE students run the experiment/activity tables at these events. They help attendees learn by showing them how to conduct the experiments/activities.
