PTA Message
Harding Families,
We’re in the home stretch! May the end-of-school-year vibes be high, but manageable, for us all. We’re loving all the Spirit Week looks. Especially knowing that behind every wild outfit (or opt-out choice), there was a guardian doing laundry or hair or accepting the ‘no’… In fact, as we wrap up the year, we reflect on the care and support we get to witness you pour into these students all year. They’re incredible. You’re incredible. Keep going.
Thank you to all those who participated in last nights PTA meeting. (And/or any PTA meetings this year.) We approved a preliminary budget for next year (academic calendar year 2026/27), settled plans for programs, and wrapped up another successful year of support and enrichment.

Harding Tigers have some generous givers backing them! Look at what we were able to accomplish- in a difficult year, full of uncertainty: We raised over $170K- which at 97%, is just shy of our fundraising goal! And because we run on volunteers- over 70% of that goes DIRECTLY to our students and their learning experience.

Volunteer Needs…
Walk and Roll will be launching next year, and we’re looking for parent volunteers to help scan kids in on Wednesday mornings. Please sign up through this link if you’re interested. (We’ll coordinate a short training session over the summer.)
Current Volunteer Needs for our PTA that we’d love to fill:
Volunteer Coordinator– This is an appointed position to help recruit and organize volunteers from the Harding community for PTA, classroom, and school needs.
Communications Team supports– The communications team needs translators, photographers, and someone to assist the communications chair on our weekly newsletter.

Our volunteer coordinator/s are hard at work coordinating with room parents, PTA committees, and Harding staff. Please reach out if you’ve got some time and energy to spare this year.
If you are interested in volunteering on campus or on study trips, please begin the process by visiting the District volunteer page: Volunteers. If you already have your district volunteer badge (nice work!) be sure to make an appointment with the teacher prior to volunteering in class. Always sign-in with the front office when volunteering. A visible volunteer badge must be worn at all times when on campus. Whenever on campus, remember to be mindful of student confidentiality.
New Section of the ENews: Committees, Committees…
We’re rolling out a new section of the PTA newsletter for Committee announcements and projects! For example, our newly established legislative committee is busy working on their goals, and priorities, and will begin sharing resources and participation opportunities soon.
This is where we’ll announce special committee presentations at upcoming general meetings too.
So stay tuned to this space…

Spotted in the Staff Lounge last night: PTA members, hard at work! A community- investing in our youth. Friends and colleagues- sneaking in a laugh or two (and a homemade scone) between agenda items. A huge shout-out to all the parents, guardians, teachers, administrators, custodians, and baby-sitters… who make this work possible.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE join the PTA! It’s very quick to do, and helps us reach our goal of at least 100 members! Joining does not mean you are committing to anything further!
All Are Welcome, No Specific Skills Required.
The PTA will meet on the 1st Tuesday of every month, unless alternative information is provided.
Community input and involvement are crucial to how the PTA works and the programs that we fund and provide to all students. Attending meetings and connecting to PTA communications on Slack, the weekly Enews newsletter, and Hardingpta.org will ensure that you are in the loop and your voice is heard!

They’re incredible. You’re incredible. Keep going.

また、校内でボランティアをする際には、必ず事務室でサインインをし、ボランティアバッジを見えるように着用してください。加えて、校内にいる際には生徒のプライバシーに十分ご配慮をお願いします。
