PTA Message
Happy Spring, Harding families! We’ve got some Spring Cleaning and Renewal to address:
1 The PTA is still looking to fill roles for next year’s board! We need someone to step-up for Communications Chair, Social Media Administrator, and Volunteer Coordinator. These are vital roles at the heart of our community work flow. But you won’t be working alone! Our PTA is a team of great, albeit tired, fellow parents. We show up for each other, we support each other, we have fun. We try our best to keep meetings and responsibilities manageable. None of us are professional PTA-ers. You don’t need prior experience. The person who has been in your position will teach you all you need to know, and guide you through the transition. (We’re also in need of translators in Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, et al.)

2 Childcare is returning to our General Meetings! We’ve worked closely with teachers and front office to establish a more sustainable solution. Kids will be outside in the TK play-space, we’ll have 2 sitters, and parents will be expected to step out of meetings to deal with their children when needed. But… it’s a go! So we hope this helps, and we thank you for your patience. See you at the next meeting! (Tuesday, April 14th)
3 The Harding Ridwell Plastic Film Collection is on! So, while you’re spring cleaning- come drop off your plastics. Thanks to our Harding parent, Sarah Harris, for organizing this another year. See flyers below in the Community Bulletin Board section for details.

Our team is collaborating with local businesses again to bring you a great selection of auction items this year. But part of the charm comes from your donations and offerings too. Please reach out if your family has something unique and personal to contribute. (Examples from the past include a family time-share or rental, handmade ceramics, a back-yard tiki party, a playdate with bunny rabbits…) We welcome your creativity!

Our volunteer coordinator/s are hard at work coordinating with room parents, PTA committees, and Harding staff. Please reach out if you’ve got some time and energy to spare this year.
If you are interested in volunteering on campus or on study trips, please begin the process by visiting the District volunteer page: Volunteers. If you already have your district volunteer badge (nice work!) be sure to make an appointment with the teacher prior to volunteering in class. Always sign-in with the front office when volunteering. A visible volunteer badge must be worn at all times when on campus. Whenever on campus, remember to be mindful of student confidentiality.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE join the PTA! It’s very quick to do, and helps us reach our goal of at least 100 members! Joining does not mean you are committing to anything further!
All Are Welcome, No Specific Skills Required.
The PTA will meet on the 1st Tuesday of every month, unless alternative information is provided.
Community input and involvement are crucial to how the PTA works and the programs that we fund and provide to all students. Attending meetings and connecting to PTA communications on Slack, the weekly Enews newsletter, and Hardingpta.org will ensure that you are in the loop and your voice is heard!

校内や学習旅行でのボランティアに興味のある方は、まず地区のボランティアページ（Volunteers）から手続きを開始してください。すでに地区のボランティアバッジをお持ちの方（素晴らしいです！）は、教室で活動する前に必ず先生とアポイントを取ってください。
また、校内でボランティアをする際には、必ず事務室でサインインをし、ボランティアバッジを見えるように着用してください。加えて、校内にいる際には生徒のプライバシーに十分ご配慮をお願いします。
