PTA Message
Dear Harding Families,
We’re excited to open sign-ups for Harding Elementary’s Early Morning Drop-Off Pilot Program, launching this spring! Link Here. The sign-up window will remain open for 2 weeks, closing Wednesday March 18th. At that time we will pull 10 entries using a randomized/anonymous selection generator (so there is no ‘first-come-first-serve’ stress), and then begin reaching out to the chosen families.
This program provides free, supervised care before school for a small group of students whose families need earlier drop-off due to work or similar obligations. Funded by the PTA, this pilot is being offered to a limited group of 20 students, selected via a fair lottery process. (10 students will be enrolled by lottery draw, 10 will be chosen by the front office based on known needs.)
Program Details:
- When: Weekdays, 7:35–8:20 a.m.
- Where: Harding Auditorium (Fairmount side entrance)
- Who: Supervised by Harding staff
- Cost: Free
- How: Students are walked to the yard at 8:20 a.m.
Participation Requirements:
Before signing up, please review the full Participation Agreement which includes:
- Daily sign-in by parent/guardian
- Behavior and attendance expectations
- No food or drink (except water)
- Agreement to school/district policies (phones, conduct, etc.)
- Liability waiver (sent separately upon acceptance)

We’re excited to share that, for the third year in a row, Harding is partnering with Mr. Mopps’ Toy Store for our Annual Book Fair!
Mark your calendars for March 14th and 15th and join us for story time at Mr. Mopps’ with our favorite librarian, Mr. C, along with several of our wonderful Harding teachers. It’s always a cozy, joyful event for students and families alike.
Even better, 20% of all sales will go directly to support Harding’s Enrichment Programs. Every purchase helps fund the meaningful learning experiences that make our school community so special.
This is a great opportunity to spark a love of reading while giving back to Harding. We’ll share more details soon about event times and how to participate.

committee to support our upcoming elections.
If you are interested in serving on this vital committee responsible for electing our open

30-45 minute meetings to discuss candidates and share the nominations with the broader

Our volunteer coordinator/s are hard at work coordinating with room parents, PTA committees, and Harding staff. Please reach out if you’ve got some time and energy to spare this year.
If you are interested in volunteering on campus or on study trips, please begin the process by visiting the District volunteer page: Volunteers. If you already have your district volunteer badge (nice work!) be sure to make an appointment with the teacher prior to volunteering in class. Always sign-in with the front office when volunteering. A visible volunteer badge must be worn at all times when on campus. Whenever on campus, remember to be mindful of student confidentiality.

Spotted in the library: A New Board for spring! Our amazing library is run by our librarian, Mr. C, and a team of parent volunteers. It’s a magical space where generations of Harding Tigers have discovered a love for literature. Thanks, library team, for all you do. The new board might be our favorite one yet!

Este programa ofrece cuidado gratuito y supervisado antes de la escuela para un pequeño grupo de estudiantes cuyas familias necesitan dejar a sus hijos más temprano debido al trabajo u obligaciones similares. Financiado por la PTA, este proyecto piloto se ofrece a un grupo limitado de 20 estudiantes, seleccionados mediante un proceso de sorteo justo. ハーディングのご家庭の皆さまへ
この春スタートする ハーディング小学校 早朝ドロップオフ・パイロットプログラム の申込受付を開始できることを嬉しくお知らせします。
お申し込みはこちら
申込期間は 2週間 で、3月18日（水） に締め切ります。
締め切り後、無作為・匿名の抽選システムを使用して 10名 を選出します（先着順ではないため、急いで申し込む必要はありません）。その後、選ばれたご家庭へ順次ご連絡いたします。
本プログラムは、仕事などの事情で通常より早い登校が必要なご家庭のために、無料の見守り付きケアを提供するものです。PTAの資金により実施されるこのパイロットは、20名限定で、公平な抽選により選ばれます。
（10名は抽選、10名は既知の必要性に基づきフロントオフィスが選定します。）

日時： 平日 7:35〜8:20
場所： ハーディング講堂（Fairmount側入口）
担当： ハーディング職員
費用： 無料
流れ： 8:20に校庭へ引率
参加条件
お申し込み前に、以下を含む**参加同意書（Participation Agreement）**をご確認ください。
- 保護者／保護者代行による毎日のサインイン
- 行動および出席に関する規定
- 飲食禁止（水のみ可）
- 学校／学区の方針（携帯電話、行動規範など）への同意
- 免責同意書（参加確定後に別途送付）

ハーディングのご家庭の皆さまへ
今年で3年連続となりますが、ハーディングは Mr. Mopps’ Toy Store と提携し、年次ブックフェアを開催することになりました！
3月14日・15日 をカレンダーにぜひご予定ください。
Mr. Mopps’ では、私たちの大好きな司書 Mr. C と、ハーディングの素晴らしい先生方数名による ストーリータイム も予定されています。生徒やご家族にとって、毎年とても温かく楽しいイベントです。
さらに嬉しいことに、売上の20％がハーディングのエンリッチメントプログラムの支援として寄付されます。
皆さまのお買い物が、学校コミュニティを豊かにする大切な学びの機会の支えになります。
読書の楽しさを広げながらハーディングを応援できる素晴らしい機会です。イベントの時間や参加方法などの詳細は、後日お知らせします。
生徒たち、エンリッチメントプログラム、そしてハーディングのご家庭が運営する素敵な地元ビジネスへのご支援、ありがとうございます。

作業時間を 火曜日の午前9:30〜11:00 に変更します。
ボランティアバッジをお持ちで、お手伝いできる方はぜひご参加ください。花壇の手入れをしたり、子どもたちの草取りを手伝ったりします。

2026/27年度の新学年（もう6年生／7年生への進級に備える時期ですね？！）が、あっという間に近づいてきました。これからも生徒たちを支え続けるためには、強く、積極的に関わるPTAが必要です。
私たちはあなたの力を必要としています！
そして、あなたのお友だちの力も！
新しい役割の募集・選出・引き継ぎ・トレーニングを始める時期に入っています。
執行部メンバー、各種委員会、ボランティアのサブグループなど、PTAは常にメンバーが入れ替わりながら成り立つ組織です。現在のPTAメンバーの多くが、規約で定められた任期の終了を迎えるか、お子さんの卒業が近づいています。
今は、見学（シャドーイング）をしたり、役割について学んだりするのに最適なタイミングです。
ご興味のある方、または「この人なら合いそう！」という方をご存じでしたら、ぜひご紹介ください。皆さんからのご連絡をお待ちしています！

ボランティアコーディネーターが、すでにルームペアレントやPTA委員会、ハーディングのスタッフと連携して活動を始めています。今年、少しでも時間やエネルギーを分けていただける方は、ぜひご連絡ください。
校内や学習旅行でのボランティアに興味のある方は、まず地区のボランティアページ（Volunteers）から手続きを開始してください。すでに地区のボランティアバッジをお持ちの方（素晴らしいです！）は、教室で活動する前に必ず先生とアポイントを取ってください。
また、校内でボランティアをする際には、必ず事務室でサインインをし、ボランティアバッジを見えるように着用してください。加えて、校内にいる際には生徒のプライバシーに十分ご配慮をお願いします。

私たちの素晴らしい図書館は、司書の Mr. C と保護者ボランティアのチームによって運営されています。ここは、世代を超えたハーディング・タイガースたちが読書の楽しさを発見してきた、まさに魔法のような空間です。
図書館チームの皆さん、いつも本当にありがとうございます。今回の新しい掲示板は、これまでで一番のお気に入りかもしれません！
