Welcome Back, Thank You, Harding Community, & Happy Holidays!
Dear Families,
We’re so happy to have our students, teachers, and staff back together. We know the recent strike period was stressful and disruptive for everyone, and we are deeply grateful for the patience and strength shown by our families, educators, staff, and community members. We stayed Tigers, together.
Thank you to all who are organizing holiday and appreciation gifts this week, or contributed to our Harding Heroes Holiday Gift fund. We send you all off with love, and we’ll see you after break.

Our volunteer coordinator/s are hard at work coordinating with room parents, PTA committees, and Harding staff. Please reach out if you’ve got some time and energy to spare this year.
If you are interested in volunteering on campus or on study trips, please begin the process by visiting the District volunteer page: Volunteers. If you already have your district volunteer badge (nice work!) be sure to make an appointment with the teacher prior to volunteering in class. Always sign-in with the front office when volunteering. A visible volunteer badge must be worn at all times when on campus. Whenever on campus, remember to be mindful of student confidentiality.

We held up our students and teachers through a very difficult moment. And they made it through. See you next year to continue our support of this wonderful little learning community on the corner.

Harding After School Enrichment Programs Session 2 Offerings

Hello Harding Parents and Students! El Cerrito Recreation is happy to offer the classes you see on the attached Calendar/Packet. From Air Dry Clay Art to Super Soccer Skills, we are offering a wide variety of programs that are sure to excite and enrich every Harding student. For more information visit, elcerrito.gov/asep

As you may be aware, the ongoing government shutdown may interrupt essential benefits, including Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) food assistance, which will impact some of our families. In light of this, our PTA is calling on our local community to support our neighbors who are potentially facing a food-security crisis. If you’re able, please consider donating directly to our local food bank in the WCCUSD region: Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano. (*Direct cash donations to food banks are the most impactful way to give, as food banks are able to purchase food in volume, but donations of non-perishable food are also welcome.) If your family is experiencing food insecurity, the link will direct you to reliable food banks in our area.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE join the PTA! It’s very quick to do, and helps us reach our goal of at least 100 members! Joining does not mean you are committing to anything further!
All Are Welcome, No Specific Skills Required.
The PTA will meet on the 1st Tuesday of every month, unless alternative information is provided.
Community input and involvement are crucial to how the PTA works and the programs that we fund and provide to all students. Attending meetings and connecting to PTA communications on Slack, the weekly Enews newsletter, and Hardingpta.org will ensure that you are in the loop and your voice is heard!
