Just in time for the Great California ShakeOut, the PTA’s guidance for “Talking to your student about School Safety Drills” is now up on the website. You asked, and we hope we’ve answered in a helpful way.
Fundraising!
THANK YOU to all friends, family, and supporters of our hard working Tigers! Together, we raised over 29K for Harding in this years Tigerthon! These laps around the track give the students a chance to get involved in fundraising while having fun, and we couldn’t do it without such a strong show of family volunteers.

The Harding Carnival! October 19th
The Harding Carnival is next week on October 19th – food, shows, games, pumpkins, raffle, and more! We still have about 60 volunteer spots to fill. Our volunteer coordinator/s are hard at work coordinating with room parents, PTA committees, and Harding staff. Please reach out if you’ve got some time and energy to spare this year.
If you are interested in volunteering on campus or on study trips, please begin the process by visiting the District volunteer page: Volunteers. If you already have your district volunteer badge (nice work!) be sure to make an appointment with the teacher prior to volunteering in class. Always sign-in with the front office when volunteering. A visible volunteer badge must be worn at all times when on campus. Whenever on campus, remember to be mindful of student confidentiality.
Eye of the Tiger: Insights into the halls & heart of Harding
Spotted on Tigers all across town: New Harding T-Shirts! Our Harding T-shirts are a beloved school tradition the PTA loves to work on. Not only do they step up our style during Spirit Week (who doesn’t love a merch moment), they help us quickly identify our students while we’re out on fieldtrips throughout the year. (Hence, the bright colors.) So love them and keep them around…
This years design is extra special, because it was sketched by our very own Mr. Tim! Tim did not know we were using his art for the project, and we had so much fun surprising him and the students with the final result. Thanks Tim!

A note on the current negotiations between WCCUSD and UTR: The PTA is staying informed through our faculty representatives and district communications. We will let you know if/when it will further impact Harding students as soon as we can. In the meantime, many Harding parents are gathering/collaborating ways to support over on our Slack, and Richmondside (plus other local news outlets) are providing updates.

Visto en los Tigers por toda la ciudad:¡Nuevas camisetas de Harding! Nuestras camisetas de Harding son una querida tradición escolar en la que a la PTA le encanta trabajar. No solo mejoran nuestro estilo durante la Semana del Espíritu (¿a quién no le gusta un momento de merchandising?), sino que también nos ayudan a identificar rápidamente a nuestros estudiantes cuando estamos en excursiones a lo largo del año. 勤勉なタイガースたちを支えてくださった友人、ご家族、そして応援してくださった皆さま、本当にありがとうございます！
今年のタイガーソンでは、皆さまの力を合わせてハーディングのために29,000ドル以上を集めることができました！
このトラック周回イベントは、生徒たちが楽しみながら募金活動に参加できる貴重な機会です。そして、これほど多くのご家族のボランティアの力なしには、実現できませんでした。心より感謝申し上げます。

また、校内でボランティアをする際には、必ず事務室でサインインをし、ボランティアバッジを見えるように着用してください。加えて、校内にいる際には生徒のプライバシーに十分ご配慮をお願いします。
ハーディングの廊下と心からの便り
街のあちこちで見かけました：新しいハーディングTシャツを着たタイガースたち！🐯
ハーディングTシャツは、PTAが大切にしている学校の伝統のひとつです。スピリットウィーク中にみんなでおそろいを着ると気分も上がりますし（グッズってうれしいですよね！）、年間を通して行われる遠足などでも生徒をすぐに見分けられるようになります（だからこその明るい色なんです）。ぜひ大切に着てくださいね。
今年のデザインは特別です！なんと、私たちのティム先生自身のスケッチが使われています！ティム先生はこのプロジェクトに自分の絵が使われるとは知らず、完成したTシャツを見て先生も生徒たちも大喜びでした。ティム先生、本当にありがとう！

コミュニティからの意見や関与は、PTAの活動や資金提供するプログラムにとって重要です。会議に参加し、PTAのSlack、週刊Enewsニュースレター、Hardingpta.orgに接続することで、情報を把握し、あなたの声が届くようにしましょう！

※すべての全体会議で現地にて託児サービスを提供します。
