PTA Message
It’s a SPIRIT WEEK race to the… TIGERTHON!
The PTA brings a lot of things to Harding: PE Coach, Garden Program,
Staff Appreciation, 6th Grade NatureBridge sleep away camp, field
trips, assemblies, and more! These programs are 100% funded by your
generous donations.
Our goal is for each student to raise at least $100! Thank you for
making Harding a fun place to learn and grow! *We’d love to see the students spirit week looks! Please tag us on instagram @harding_pta
Fundraising!
How to Tigerthon:
Tigerthon is a chance for you to fundraise by collecting pledges from
family, friends, and anybody else you can reach via text, email, or
socials. Send them the link, they make a pledge!
Here’s how:
1. Register your student at:
2. Click the “NOT REGISTERED FOR THIS EVENT?” button.
3. Create your login.
4. Click the “Add a Harding Tiger” button.
5. Add your kid.
6. Scroll down to the Share on Social Media And Other Ways section of
the page and click the “Copy” button to copy the link.
Now you have a link you can send in an email or text or put into a
social media post! You can also import contacts into your Pledgestar
page and make Pledgestar send the emails; up to you, really.
The actual day of Tigerthon is this Friday Oct 10! It’s super fun, and we
could use some volunteers to help tally laps and cheer the kids on!

The Harding Carnival is next week on October 19th – food, shows, games, pumpkins, raffle, and more! We still have about 60 volunteer spots to fill. Our volunteer coordinator/s are hard at work coordinating with room parents, PTA committees, and Harding staff. Please reach out if you’ve got some time and energy to spare this year.
If you are interested in volunteering on campus or on study trips, please begin the process by visiting the District volunteer page: Volunteers. If you already have your district volunteer badge (nice work!) be sure to make an appointment with the teacher prior to volunteering in class. Always sign-in with the front office when volunteering. A visible volunteer badge must be worn at all times when on campus. Whenever on campus, remember to be mindful of student confidentiality.
Eye of the Tiger: Insights into the halls & heart of Harding
Spotted at the end of the hall: Harding Tigers getting their hearing/vision assessments! Did you know that the state pays for auditory/visual testing throughout the elementary school years because it’s so important to literacy? Every year, our PTA organizes volunteers to help run these as smoothly as possible. TK, Kinder, Second, and Fifth grade students are assessed. (This is not a comprehensive screening. If any issues arose, you’ll be notified on next steps to take with your own family medical team.)

The PTA will meet on the 1st Tuesday of every month, unless alternative information is provided.
Community input and involvement are crucial to how the PTA works and the programs that we fund and provide to all students. Attending meetings and connecting to PTA communications on Slack, the weekly Enews newsletter, and Hardingpta.org will ensure that you are in the loop and your voice is heard!

タイガーソンの参加方法：
タイガーソンは、家族や友人、メール・SNSなどでつながる人々から寄付の約束（プレッジ）を集めて資金を募るチャンスです。リンクを送るだけで、相手が寄付をしてくれます！
手順は以下の通りです：
- 生徒を登録します：

その他にもたくさんの協力方法があります：
ボランティア、備品の貸し出し、寄付など、ぜひご参加ください！
ボランティアコーディネーターが、すでにルームペアレントやPTA委員会、ハーディングのスタッフと連携して活動を始めています。今年、少しでも時間やエネルギーを分けていただける方は、ぜひご連絡ください。
校内や学習旅行でのボランティアに興味のある方は、まず地区のボランティアページ（Volunteers）から手続きを開始してください。すでに地区のボランティアバッジをお持ちの方（素晴らしいです！）は、教室で活動する前に必ず先生とアポイントを取ってください。
また、校内でボランティアをする際には、必ず事務室でサインインをし、ボランティアバッジを見えるように着用してください。加えて、校内にいる際には生徒のプライバシーに十分ご配慮をお願いします。
ハーディングの廊下と心からの便り
廊下の奥で発見：ハーディング・タイガースの生徒たちが聴力・視力検査を受けていました！📚
州では、読み書き能力の発達にとても重要であることから、小学校の学年を通じて聴覚・視覚の検査費用を負担しています。毎年、PTAがボランティアを組織して、この検査がスムーズに行われるよう支えています。対象はTK、キンダー、2年生、5年生です。
（なお、これは包括的な検診ではありません。もし何らかの問題が見つかった場合は、ご家庭の医療チームでの次の対応について通知が届きます。）

PTAに参加しよう！
ボランティアの機会は常にあり、私たちは楽しいグループです。特別なスキルは必要ありません。どなたでも歓迎です！
PTAは毎月の第1火曜日に会議を開催しますが、変更がある場合はお知らせします。
コミュニティからの意見や関与は、PTAの活動や資金提供するプログラムにとって重要です。会議に参加し、PTAのSlack、週刊Enewsニュースレター、Hardingpta.orgに接続することで、情報を把握し、あなたの声が届くようにしましょう！

会場：ハーディング校内スタッフラウンジ（フェアモント通り側正面玄関よりお入りください）
※すべての全体会議で現地にて託児サービスを提供します。
