PTA Message
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Giving Campaign! The PTA works hard at fundraising throughout the year, and we appreciate the efforts of all involved. We are proud that this parent/guardian community now invests over $500/per student to supplement their education and experiences. Let’s keep the momentum going!

THE TIGERTHON IS COMING!
This event will be on campus, with students doing as many laps as they can during their Tigerthon time on Friday October 10th!
We are raising money for: P.E. Coach, Garden Program, Staff Appreciation, 6th Grade NatureBridge sleep away camp, field trips, assemblies, and more! These programs are 100% funded by your generous donations, and are enrichments our students would not otherwise receive. Our goal is for each student to raise at least $100! Thank you for making Harding a fun place to learn and grow!

- Get pledges: Send emails or texts to family & friends on Pledgestar. We appreciate your support with a flat dollar amount or a per lap pledge.
- Volunteer: help us tally laps and cheer on the students on Friday October 10th.

Presenting the 2025/2026 Lunch/Recess Volunteer Signup Sheet, now complete with instructions! Let the signing up begin, but remember you need a volunteer badge before you can volunteer (https://www.wccusd.net/departments-and-areas/volunteer), and ALWAYS check in at the front office on your way in. More information on volunteering for lunch/recess can be found on the google sheet, but in short: volunteering at lunch is a helpful way to volunteer and get a glimpse inside the school without making a big time commitment. Also, if you wonder whether your kindergartener is actually eating lunch, this is how you can find out 😉
More than one person can help on a given day, the signup isn’t meant to restrict multiple people from signing up but rather to help spread out our help.

The amazing staff at Harding Staff works tirelessly throughout the year to support our students: let’s fuel them up with coffee and bubbly water! We are looking for volunteers to help keep the staff room stocked once a month: this is a super easy way to make a positive difference at school. Pick a month, sign up here, and we’ll be in touch with details including a short shopping list and reimbursement info (all supplies are funded by the PTA). For questions, email Anna at almahony@gmail.com. Thx for helping to keep staff hydrated and happy!
Our volunteer coordinator/s are hard at work coordinating with room parents, PTA committees, and Harding staff. Please reach out if you’ve got some time and energy to spare this year.
If you are interested in volunteering on campus or on study trips, please begin the process by visiting the District volunteer page: Volunteers. If you already have your district volunteer badge (nice work!) be sure to make an appointment with the teacher prior to volunteering in class. Always sign-in with the front office when volunteering. A visible volunteer badge must be worn at all times when on campus. Whenever on campus, remember to be mindful of student confidentiality.
Eye of the Tiger: Insights into the halls & heart of Harding
Spotted at Camp Herms: Harding Tigers camping in the wilds of El Cerrito! It was another magical night under the stars- s’mores, glow sticks, singing, and so many happy campers… Plus- the potluck food, as always, was delicious. Thank you for making it happen!
*Our current camp organizer is looking to pass on the torch. Its a pretty low-key, one time responsibility… but it makes a big impact on community fun. Please reach out to the PTA in you’re interested in helping.

このイベントはキャンパスで開催され、学生たちは10月10日金曜日のタイガーソンの時間にできるだけ多くの周回を行います！

ボランティア募集のお知らせ
🌟 リセスコーチ（/代用教員／ハーディング保護者のスペシャルメンバー）、ブリトニー・ジェノヴァより🌟
2025/2026年度版 ランチ／リセス ボランティア登録シート をご紹介します！手順付きで完成しましたので、いよいよサインアップ開始です。
ただし、ボランティアに参加するには ボランティアバッジ が必要です（👉 申請はこちら）。また、必ず校内に入る際には フロントオフィスでチェックイン をお願いします。
ランチ／リセスのボランティアについて詳しくはGoogleシートをご覧いただけますが、要点は以下の通りです：
- ランチタイムのボランティアは大きな時間的負担なく協力でき、学校の中の様子を垣間見る良い機会です。
- 「うちのキンダーは本当にお昼ごはんを食べているの？」と思ったら、ここで確認できます 😉
- 1日に複数人が手伝っても大丈夫です。このシートは人数制限ではなく、協力が偏らないようにするためのものです。

ハーディングの素晴らしいスタッフは、1年を通して生徒たちを支えるためにたゆまぬ努力をしています。そこで、コーヒーやスパークリングウォーターでスタッフを元気づけましょう！✨
スタッフルームを月に一度ストックしてくださるボランティアを募集しています。とても簡単に学校に良い影響を与えられる方法です。希望する月を選んでサインアップしてください。その後、短い買い物リストや精算方法などの詳細をご連絡します（すべての費用はPTAが負担します）。

スタッフの水分補給と笑顔を保つためにご協力をお願いいたします！
ボランティアコーディネーターが、すでにルームペアレントやPTA委員会、ハーディングのスタッフと連携して活動を始めています。今年、少しでも時間やエネルギーを分けていただける方は、ぜひご連絡ください。
校内や学習旅行でのボランティアに興味のある方は、まず地区のボランティアページ（Volunteers）から手続きを開始してください。すでに地区のボランティアバッジをお持ちの方（素晴らしいです！）は、教室で活動する前に必ず先生とアポイントを取ってください。
また、校内でボランティアをする際には、必ず事務室でサインインをし、ボランティアバッジを見えるように着用してください。加えて、校内にいる際には生徒のプライバシーに十分ご配慮をお願いします。
ハーディングの廊下と心からの便り
キャンプ・ハームズでのひとコマ：エルセリートの大自然の中でキャンプを楽しむハーディング・タイガース！星空の下でのもう一つの魔法のような夜—スモア、グロー・スティック、歌、そして大勢の楽しそうなキャンパーたち…。さらに持ち寄り料理は、いつものようにとても美味しかったです。実現してくださった皆さまに感謝します！
※現在のキャンプ主催者は、次の方へバトンを渡そうとしています。気軽にできる一度限りの役割ですが、地域の楽しみに大きな影響を与える大切なものです。お手伝いにご興味のある方はPTAまでご連絡ください。

アルバニー無料ハロウィン衣装交換会＋セカンドハンドマーケット
使わなくなった衣装を持ち寄って“新しい”衣装と交換しよう！ヨーロッパ風のセカンドハンドマーケットも開催され、子ども向けアクティビティ、無料の衣類修理、音楽も楽しめます。
日時：10月5日（日）11時～16時
場所：1251 Solano Ave（Abrams Claghorn Gallery駐車場）
衣装の持ち込み受付：10月3日まで Coyote Kids（1272 Solano Ave）にて

PTAに参加しよう！
ボランティアの機会は常にあり、私たちは楽しいグループです。特別なスキルは必要ありません。どなたでも歓迎です！
PTAは毎月の第1火曜日に会議を開催しますが、変更がある場合はお知らせします。
コミュニティからの意見や関与は、PTAの活動や資金提供するプログラムにとって重要です。会議に参加し、PTAのSlack、週刊Enewsニュースレター、Hardingpta.orgに接続することで、情報を把握し、あなたの声が届くようにしましょう！
