The directory is how our fantastic room parents will get in touch with
everyone to coordinate things that might be needed for class, deliver
the scoop on fundraisers and events, and generally make sure everyone
has each others’ emails and can communicate with each other, so please
fill it out as soon as possible!
SPEAKING OF ROOM PARENTS: Some rooms are still without a room parent,
which means your class could potentially be missing out on a vital
channel of communication and community! It’s a pretty simple job that
doesn’t require much in the way of writing work thanks to the PTA Room
Parent Coordinator; please get in touch with your teacher to volunteer
if you’d like an important and easy way to get involved!

Presenting the 2025/2026 Lunch/Recess Volunteer Signup Sheet, now complete with instructions! Let the signing up begin, but remember you need a volunteer badge before you can volunteer (https://www.wccusd.net/departments-and-areas/volunteer), and ALWAYS check in at the front office on your way in. More information on volunteering for lunch/recess can be found on the google sheet, but in short: volunteering at lunch is a helpful way to volunteer and get a glimpse inside the school without making a big time commitment. Also, if you wonder whether your kindergartener is actually eating lunch, this is how you can find out 😉
More than one person can help on a given day, the signup isn’t meant to restrict multiple people from signing up but rather to help spread out our help.

The amazing staff at Harding Staff works tirelessly throughout the year to support our students: let’s fuel them up with coffee and bubbly water! We are looking for volunteers to help keep the staff room stocked once a month: this is a super easy way to make a positive difference at school. Pick a month, sign up here, and we’ll be in touch with details including a short shopping list and reimbursement info (all supplies are funded by the PTA). For questions, email Anna at almahony@gmail.com. Thx for helping to keep staff hydrated and happy!
Our volunteer coordinator/s are hard at work coordinating with room parents, PTA committees, and Harding staff. Please reach out if you’ve got some time and energy to spare this year.
If you are interested in volunteering on campus or on study trips, please begin the process by visiting the District volunteer page: Volunteers. If you already have your district volunteer badge (nice work!) be sure to make an appointment with the teacher prior to volunteering in class. Always sign-in with the front office when volunteering. A visible volunteer badge must be worn at all times when on campus. Whenever on campus, remember to be mindful of student confidentiality.

The first Harding Social Club karaoke night of the year is tonight, Wednesday September 24th at 8pm! Join folks (21+) from across the Harding Community for merriment, song, and camaraderie at the Mel-O-Dee karaoke bar located in the El Cerrito Plaza. The PTA will meet on the 1st Tuesday of every month, unless alternative information is provided.
Community input and involvement are crucial to how the PTA works and the programs that we fund and provide to all students. Attending meetings and connecting to PTA communications on Slack, the weekly Enews newsletter, and Hardingpta.org will ensure that you are in the loop and your voice is heard!

De nuestra entrenadora de recreo (/maestra suplente/padre extraordinario de Harding), Brittni Genova:
Presentamos la hoja de inscripciones para voluntarios de almuerzo/recreo 2025/2026, ahora completa con instrucciones. ¡Que comience la inscripción, pero recuerda que necesitas una credencial de voluntario antes de poder ser voluntario! (https://www.wccusd.net/departments-and-areas/volunteer), y SIEMPRE regístrate en la oficina principal al entrar. Más información sobre el voluntariado para el almuerzo/recreo se puede encontrar en la hoja de Google, pero en resumen: ser voluntario en el almuerzo es una forma útil de colaborar y obtener un vistazo dentro de la escuela sin hacer un gran compromiso de tiempo. 🌟 リセスコーチ（/代用教員／ハーディング保護者のスペシャルメンバー）、ブリトニー・ジェノヴァより🌟
2025/2026年度版 ランチ／リセス ボランティア登録シート をご紹介します！手順付きで完成しましたので、いよいよサインアップ開始です。
ただし、ボランティアに参加するには ボランティアバッジ が必要です（👉 申請はこちら）。また、必ず校内に入る際には フロントオフィスでチェックイン をお願いします。
ランチ／リセスのボランティアについて詳しくはGoogleシートをご覧いただけますが、要点は以下の通りです：
- ランチタイムのボランティアは大きな時間的負担なく協力でき、学校の中の様子を垣間見る良い機会です。
- 「うちのキンダーは本当にお昼ごはんを食べているの？」と思ったら、ここで確認できます 😉
- 1日に複数人が手伝っても大丈夫です。このシートは人数制限ではなく、協力が偏らないようにするためのものです。
みなさんのご協力、ありがとうございます！ 🙏

ボランティアコーディネーターが、すでにルームペアレントやPTA委員会、ハーディングのスタッフと連携して活動を始めています。今年、少しでも時間やエネルギーを分けていただける方は、ぜひご連絡ください。
校内や学習旅行でのボランティアに興味のある方は、まず地区のボランティアページ（Volunteers）から手続きを開始してください。すでに地区のボランティアバッジをお持ちの方（素晴らしいです！）は、教室で活動する前に必ず先生とアポイントを取ってください。
また、校内でボランティアをする際には、必ず事務室でサインインをし、ボランティアバッジを見えるように着用してください。加えて、校内にいる際には生徒のプライバシーに十分ご配慮をお願いします。

今年最初のハーディング・ソーシャルクラブのカラオケナイトは、本日9月24日（水）午後8時から！
ハーディングコミュニティの21歳以上の皆さん、ぜひエルセリート・プラザにある「Mel-O-Dee」カラオケバーに集まり、歌や交流を楽しみましょう。歌う人も観るのが好きな人も大歓迎です！ご質問がある場合は、Harding Slackチャンネルでお問い合わせください。

PTAに参加しよう！
ボランティアの機会は常にあり、私たちは楽しいグループです。特別なスキルは必要ありません。どなたでも歓迎です！
PTAは毎月の第1火曜日に会議を開催しますが、変更がある場合はお知らせします。
コミュニティからの意見や関与は、PTAの活動や資金提供するプログラムにとって重要です。会議に参加し、PTAのSlack、週刊Enewsニュースレター、Hardingpta.orgに接続することで、情報を把握し、あなたの声が届くようにしましょう！
