- Lunch recess support/presence – sign up here. Our goal is 4 days a year per family. Having extra adult presence on the yard helps students and staff!

Harding Parent Post on Slack: Last week, the district passed its solvency plan, and the consequences for our schools are devastating. This plan directly impacts United Teachers of Richmond by cutting 26 full-time positions from our ranks. Here’s what that looks like:

TOTAL CUTS: 26 FULL-TIME POSITIONS
Additionally, the district has decided not to sign any new MOUs for the time being, further limiting our ability to negotiate and protect our working conditions.
Future Cuts Looming
The district also plans to reduce an additional 19 positions in the 2026-2027 school year, further jeopardizing our schools and the stability of our educators.
We Need to Take a Stand
The district has no seniority list, meaning we don’t know who will be affected. This decision doesn’t just impact individuals-it weakens our schools, our students, and our entire community. We must mobilize NOW.

Speak to your colleagues(during lunch and off hours) about joining us at the rally.

El Cerrito 6th grade boys and girls from WCCUSD are encouraged to register/participate.
