A Note from Principal Takimoto
Hello Harding Community,
A big thank you to families for coming out for Open House last week. Both students and teachers were excited to show off their work. I also appreciate all the support for the PTA programs and fundraisers. I loved watching the happy faces at the Alice in Wonderland performances and thank you for your patience with the long line at the book fair.
As announced at the Open House and through Parentsquare, School Site Council (SSC) elections are underway. If you are interested in running for a council position, please submit your declaration to run form by 8:30 am on Thursday April 27. SSC is a great way to learn about how school works and give input representing the parent community.
Please call the office if you have any questions or need more information. You may also join the SSC meeting on Tuesday April 25 at 6:00pm via zoom. We will be discussing the 2023-2024 school plan and budget.

POTLUCK: Let’s gather and celebrate Harding’s diverse cultures through our annual multicultural potluck. Please join your fellow Harding families for dinner by bringing a dish to share at 6 PM. Families are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket, reusable plates, and cutlery. And please BYO drinks
MOVIE: Once the sun sets, we will commence our annual outdoor movie night with a showing of Pixar’s Lightyear on a giant outdoor screen under the [fog] stars. If you can’t make the potluck, feel free to come to join us for this fun, PTA-sponsored event. Bring blankets, flashlights, and a warm jacket.

Read-a-thon Update!
The final numbers are in! Last week’s reading palooza was a success!
Harding students read an impressive 112,581 minutes – that’s 78 straight days of reading! –and raised $18,000 and counting. All these funds go directly towards enrichment programming for the 2023-24 school year.
