Hello Harding Community,
Here are some quick Harding COVID numbers:
| Absences – illness or quarantine | From a high of 70 students out on January 4, we were down to 43 students absent on January 21. |
| Positive Case Total | 53 – most of which are families reporting from home tests, having kept their children out of school when they have symptoms or have a known exposure. As you know from all the emails, I have reported only the positive cases that were on campus and could have exposed someone on the school site. |
| Staffing | While we have been understaffed in positions outside of classroom teachers all year, staff continues to support each other as well as the students. Our biggest gaps are the cafeteria clerk, school secretary, and yard supervisors. Anyone looking for a job? |
While we seem to be managing the Omicorn spike, please stay vigilant with your safe practices. We are now noticing the virus spread through families and playmate groups. The following will continue to be important for at least a few more weeks:
- Wear a properly fitting KN95, N95, or surgical mask in group settings.
- Avoid sharing food and materials and wash your hands often for at least 20 seconds.
- Test weekly. Register your child for testing on Mondays if you have not already done so: Registration instructions: English Spanish
- Check your child for symptoms before coming to school each day – take their temperature.
- Get yourself and your child vaccinated.
- Notify the office asap when your child has had an exposure or tests positive.

Estos son algunos números rápidos de COVID de Harding:

Si bien parece que estamos manejando el Omicorn pico de, manténgase alerta con sus prácticas seguras. Ahora estamos notando que el virus se propaga a través de familias y grupos de compañeros de juegos. Lo siguiente seguirá siendo importante durante al menos algunas semanas más:
- Use una máscara KN95, N95 o quirúrgica que le quede bien en entornos grupales.
- Evite compartir alimentos y materiales y lávese las manos con frecuencia durante al menos 20 segundos.
