Good old times at the Harding Carnival!
The Harding Carnival, our premier community event, happens every year on the first Sunday in October. Scores of school dads setup an old timey carnival on the Harding baseball outfield, complete with midway, live music & entertainment, carnival games, and food. This is a great chance to meet other families at the start of the school year either by hosting a game booth or just coming to the event and hanging out with everyone. This event is open to the public and is regularly attended by families from El Cerrito, Kensington, Albany, and Berkeley so feel free to invite your friends.
Admission to the carnival is $5 (children 4 and under free). Admission fees support the line-up of great entertainment which usually consists of live music, magic shows, jugglers, story tellers, puppet shows and the like. Additionally, tickets are available for all game play and food & snacks. Come hungry as you will find a full menu of fair fare for your enjoyment, such as BBQ ribs, corn-on-the-cob, watermelon, hot dogs, etc., as well as a snack stand with carnival favorites like cotton, cany, sno-cones, and popcorn.
The carnival also boasts a complete pumpkin patch for the little ones and a family friendly beer garden.
